

A Senior Information Officer and Deputy Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Chantal Aidoo, has been awarded by the Civil Service of Ghana for her professionalism, unwavering dedication and punctuality in executing her duties.
This follows the Ministry’s nomination of her for the award, as a testament to the remarkable works of the PR and Communication Unit.
The honour was bestowed upon her at the Civil Service Awards Ceremony, which took place in Accra on Friday under the theme “Combating threats to sub-regional peace and security: Perspectives of the civil service.”
The awards, which formed part of the 2023 Civil Service Week Celebration, were to celebrate and recognize the strategic importance of employees of the Civil Service to national development.
Appreciation
Speaking after receiving the award, Chantal Aidoo said she was grateful to the Civil Service for recognizing her effort.
She viewed the honour not just as a personal accolade but as a source of motivation to continue her dedication to duties at the Ministry.
She expressed gratitude to God, her boss and the entire leadership of the Ministry. She emphasised the importance of teamwork and collective effort in achieving organizational success.
Chantal Aidoo urged her colleagues and fellow civil servants to pursue excellence in their endeavours.
She reminded them that hard work and dedication are key ingredients in achieving professional success. She encouraged them to contribute meaningfully to their respective roles and organizations.
Commendation
For her part, the Head of Public Affairs and Communications Unit of the Ministry, Marmle Ramani, attributed the recognition of Chantal Aidoo by the Civil Service to the exemplary work of the Ministry’s PR and Communication Unit.
Ms Ramani said it was only last year that she and Chantal were posted and assigned to the Ministry’s PR unit to take up their roles. According to her, their work has led to a revamping of the unit.
She noted that within this short period, the unit’s nomination for an award and Chantal’s subsequent recognition underscore the effectiveness of the team’s efforts.
She indicated that the acknowledgment from the Civil Service serves as validation of the impactful work being carried out by the Ministry’s PR and Communication Unit.
She lauded Chantal’s industrious spirit, exceptional work ethics, and unwavering commitment to excellence. She stressed that the award was well-deserved, saying Chantal Aidoo’s recognition serves as an inspiration for workers in the PR Unit of the Ministry.
She reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to leveraging effective communication strategies to further its objectives, and promote its mission of service and development.
