The Eastern Regional Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Kwame Appiah Kodua, has filed his nomination to contest the parliamentary seat of the NPP Fanteakwa North constituency.
Mr. Kodua was the third person to file his nomination for the upcoming parliamentary primaries in the constituency. He was trailed by a large number of supporters and party members.
The former two-time Eastern Regional Organizer of the party will be facing stiff competition from six other candidates. However, he is confident of winning the primaries by a large margin.
Track Record
Speaking to the media after successfully submitting his nomination forms at the Fanteakwa North constituency office on Saturday, he said delegates are going to vote based on the track records of all the candidates.
Mr. Kodua urged the delegates to consider the contributions, service, and achievements made by the candidates in the party and within the constituency.
He also promised to provide jobs to the youth, input more resources in the development of agriculture, and ensure accountability.
“When you look at the benchmark, which is contribution to the party, service, and achievement, I tick all these boxes. We have been working tirelessly to ensure that the party moves forward. I have personally provided jobs for the youth. And I have ensured that about 600 brilliant but needy children have received scholarships to further their education,” he added.
The NADMO Director emphasized that he decided to contest because the constituency is becoming more unpopular each day due to lack of development.
Another reason which he cited for his inclusion in the upcoming primaries is that the party keeps losing votes in the general election, a trend he wants to stop by leading the party.
