The 2024 Election Review Committee of the New Patriotic Party has appealed to regional and constituency executive committees, urging their cooperation to ensure the success of a key review exercise aimed at evaluating the recent electoral process.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the committee, William Yamoah, the team outlined critical areas where the support of regional and constituency bodies is needed. The statement emphasised the importance of securing appropriate venues for scheduled meetings, ensuring the attendance of relevant stakeholders and participants, and facilitating access to constituency-specific data to enhance the committee’s review process.
“We kindly request that regional and constituency executive committees coordinate and provide the necessary support to ensure the success of this important exercise,” the statement noted. It stressed that the collaboration and commitment of all stakeholders are essential to achieving a comprehensive review of the electoral process.
The committee is led by prominent figures such as Dr. Joseph Agyapong Darmoe, Ambassador Kwaku Domfeh, Prof. Kofi Osei Akuoko, Dr. Felix Yamoah, Prof. Mike Oquaye, and Emerita Prof. Yaa Ntiamoah. Supporting members include notable personalities like Mr. William Yamoah, Prof. Samuel Bert, Abdulai Abanga, Lawyer Seidu Nasigri, Hon. Gifty Eugenia Kusi, and Chairman F. F. Antoh.
The 2024 Election Review Committee was established to assess the conduct of the recent elections, identify areas for improvement, and propose recommendations to strengthen future electoral processes. It is committed to fostering transparency, inclusivity, and accountability.
