The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ghana, Sergei Berdnikov, has extended a cordial congratulations to the nation on the occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the Independence Day.
According to him, “it is well-known that the USSR was one of the first countries in the world who recognized Ghana`s national sovereignty back in the 1958.”
“From that very moment, the Soviet Union has been supporting new independent Republic as well as established good trustful relations between Soviet government and the first President of the Republic of Ghana Mr.Kwame Nkrumah,” he said.
“Since then, our diverse cooperation in political, economic and social fields has been maintained. Russian-Ghanaian relations are of traditionally friendly nature that meet close approaches on major international and regional agenda,” Mr Berdnikov continued. .
The diplomat said that Russia looks forward to maintain mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation with the Republic of Ghana “for the good of our Peoples and the prosperity of the two countries. I wish all the People of Ghana happiness, wealth and success.”
