A former General Secretary of the NPP, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, has said that, having gone round the country with President Akufo-Addo on the campaign tour, he is convinced that the mandate of the President will be renewed by the electorate on December 7.
In a Facebook post, Mr Agyepong noted that the President’s handiwork can be seen in the “remarkable delivery of Roads, Health, Agriculture, Education, Water and Sanitation infrastructure, which has been equitably distributed around the country.”
“Many facets of the lives of our people have felt the positive impact of this massive roll out of projects in barely 4years,” he noted.
“From my observations, I am hopeful and confident that Ghanaians will renew the mandate of President Akufo-Addo and the NPP with a resounding endorsement come Dec 7th,” he added.
All hands on deck
The former NPP chief scribe used the opportunity to call on all members of the party to join the Nana Akufo-Addo re-election campaign.
“Fellow Patriots, let all hands be on deck and all shoulders put to the wheel to ensure 4MoreYears 4Nana to do More,” he said.
Though the former General Secretary had not made any public statement until his recent Facebook post, his inclusion in the campaign and subsequent appearance on major platforms with the President seem to have gingered the base of the party.
In the 2016 general election, Mr Agyepong, as part of the party’s ‘adopt a polling station strategy’, adopted several polling stations in about 150 constituencies in the country.
