The Municipal Chief Executive of the Ashaiman, Mr. Albert Boakye Okyere, has praised the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for its pivotal role in the establishment of the Community 22 Polyclinic.
He said it was government’s strategic utilisation of a crucial grant which saw the construction of the vital healthcare facility, which had since become a cornerstone for healthcare delivery in Ashaiman and its environs.
The MCE gave the commendation at the Community 22 Polyclinic’s 5th anniversary. It was under the theme “Continuing Our 5-Year Journey of Excellent Healthcare Delivery through Innovation, Professionalism, and Community Involvement.”
Action
The MCE stated: “The NPP government took decisive action in utilising the grant to build this essential healthcare facility, which the NDC’s administration at the time couldn’t utilise. Besides, the NDC had ample opportunity to complete the project but failed to do so. It was only through the NPP’s intervention that the facility saw the light of day.”
Mr. Okyere also addressed ongoing political dishonesty, urging the NDC Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Ernest Norgbey, to rise above “petty politics.” He stressed that the NPP’s primary focus remained on delivering essential services to the community, rather than indulging in partisan squabbles.
“The completion of the Community 22 Polyclinic is a proof of our commitment to effective healthcare delivery. We prioritise the health and well-being of our people over political point-scoring,” he indicated.
The MCE commended the staff of the CPC for their never-ending dedication and professionalism, which had been instrumental in achieving a remarkable milestone: zero deaths since the clinic’s inception five years ago.
Commendation
He lauded their relentless efforts in providing top-notch healthcare services, and encouraged them to maintain their exceptional standards.
“The staff’s commitment to excellence has made the CPC a source of hope for our community. Your tireless efforts ensure that the people of Ashaiman receive the quality healthcare they deserve,” he added.
The anniversary celebration featured various activities, including a sketch on Caesarean Section (CS), performances, and fund-raising to promote health awareness. The event saw enthusiastic participation from local dignitaries, healthcare professionals, and community members, all of whom expressed their gratitude for the services provided by the CPC.
