Samuel Osei Kuffour: Fastest-rising England-based Ghanaian defender

Samuel Osei Kuffour, the 21-year-old Ghanaian defender based in England is the newest sensation and a glimpse of hope for the Ghanaian football fraternity as he keeps rising through the ladder at his base in England.

The highly-rated defender started his career at Feyenoord football club’s youth system and later joined Boreham Wood FC in England. He has constantly proven, through his youth career games, how ready he is to take the world of football by storm with his endless record of helping his team keep a clean sheet and commanding the defence of his team and helping them stay afloat.

The versatile right-back cum central midfielder has picked up valuable experiences from his days at Feyenoord football club’s youth system and Boreham Wood FC academy. With a host of English clubs in demand of his service, Samuel is currently plying his trade with National League side, Bromley football club in England.

The nimble right-footed starlet has already been tipped for greatness due to his promising outings and versatility to play different positions and is already on the radar of youth national team handlers of England and Ghana.

Professional contract

In response to whether he will be signing a new professional contract soon, he replied in the affirmative, saying, he is hopeful for a move in the soon but won’t like to disclose as his management and intermediary are in talks with numerous teams while also focused on making an impact at Bromley and making it to the first.

“Yes, I would not lie about that, there are options on the table, however, I am still focused on making an impact at my current club, Bromley FC and making a debut in the first team. As a footballer, you will agree with me that, sometimes, you are being spoilt with choices, but you have to weigh all the options available and select the best of them; so yes, plans are underway, let’s just be hopeful,” Kuffour stated.

Amongst Kuffour’s attributes includes are his vision on the ball, passing and dictating the pace of games, 1V1 defending, delivery and very fast.  More to what Samuel Kuffour can add to any team he joins is hi capacity to score goals, create goals and be the leader at the back of every team.

As a young rising Ghanaian star, key attention is being paid by the Ghanaian football community as we monitor the process of what will be a great augmentation to our national team football.
