Business School president for Simon Diedong Dombo (SDD) University for Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIDS), Selorm Dzanado Blendorf, has shared his expectations on the upcoming “Entrepreneur In You Summit” initiative by Dr. Maxwell Ampong and his team at Maxwell Investments Group (MIG).
He believes that the summit, also under the Africa School of Entrepreneurship, would go a long way to create a good network and unleash students’ potential in entrepreneurship.
In a telephonic interview on the upcoming summit, he indicated that it is set to be a game-changer for students at SDD UBIDS business school, bringing together top industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and other key figures to inspire, educate, and create networking opportunities for students interested in entrepreneurship.
The programme aims to not only promote entrepreneurship but also tackle global challenges and provide avenues for business development. It is with this broad vision that Ghana’s largest indigenous bank, GCB Bank PLC, decided to support and sponsor the event.
He further explained that the school’s involvement in this summit is truly a privilege for the students and will offer them a unique chance to interact directly with industry leaders and experts, enabling them to learn, network, and tap into their entrepreneurial potential.
The summit, set to happen in Kumasi at the Great Hall of KNUST, will provide a platform for students to gain practical knowledge, mentorship, and guidance from seasoned professionals in the field. Over half a dozen tertiary institutions are participating. The event comes off on June 14, 2024.
Mr. Blendorf called on the students to fully participate in this summit since it will expose them to real-world entrepreneurship experiences and insights, undoubtedly invaluable for them as they embark on their own entrepreneurial journeys.
“By participating in this event, students can broaden their horizons, foster new connections, and acquire the skills needed to succeed in the competitive world of entrepreneurship,” he added.
He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for such enriching experiences in order to nurture the next generation of innovative entrepreneurs.
