The Valley View University (VVU) has awarded the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, with an honorary Doctorate Degree in recognition of her outstanding contributions to society and her exemplary leadership in the field of public service.
The event, attended by esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, students, and well-wishers, showcased the university’s commitment to honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to their respective fields, inspiring future generations to strive for excellence.
Other honorees included the President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, who received an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters. Former President John Agyekum Kufuor also received an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters, Wife of former President Rawlings, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, also received an honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Appreciation
Expressing her gratitude, the Chief of Staff thanked Valley View University for the prestigious honor. She emphasised the importance of education in shaping a prosperous and progressive society and encouraged students to pursue knowledge and contribute to the development of their communities.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also described the achievements of Mrs Frema Osei Opare as historic, in lieu of her stellar performance as the first Female Chief of Staff.
Mrs Frema Osei-Opare has served the nation with unwavering dedication and distinction. Her unwavering commitment to public service, coupled with her visionary leadership, has earned her widespread acclaim.
As Ghana’s premier Private University, Valley View University was optimistic that the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate on Hon. Akosua Frema Osei Opare will encourage her to continuously pursue excellence in public service with integrity.
