A national youth organiser hopeful of the NPP, Abanga Yakubu Fusani, will today launch a comprehensive welfare scheme, known as the ‘Life Insurance Policy’, for all youth organisers and deputy youth organisers of the party.
The policy is designed to offer protection for the youth organisers in the event of death or total permanent disability. It also comes with some social and financial benefits to its members.
A statement released by the campaign manager, Kwasi Kwarteng, disclosed that all 550 youth organisers and deputy youth organisers as well as the 32 regional youth organisers and their deputies had been insured against any unforeseen event that may happen in the course of their duties to the party at no cost to them.
“A sum assured of GHC50,000.00 for death or/and total or permanent disability and critical illness is guaranteed to each youth organiser should the unfortunate happen. The purpose is to provide that sense of security needed to undertake your duties as commanders of our great Party,” he said.
Kwasi Kwarteng noted that NPP Abanga and team had borne the full cost of the total premium required so far as the implementation of this policy was concerned.
