The newly elected regional executives of the New Patriotic Party in the Bono Region have appointed seven officers in accordance with provisions of the party’s constitution.
At a meeting, chaired by party chairman, Kwame Baffoe, in Sunyani, the party appointed Sakinatu Salifu as the Deputy Women’s Organizer and Randy Ashraf Issahaku as deputy regional youth organizer. The rest are Safura Mohammed Suraj, deputy organizer; Alhaji Baqury Mohammed, financial secretary; Henry Osei, research and elections officer and Gabriel Korang Ababio regional communications officer.
A statement signed by the regional secretary, Mr. Kofi Ofosu Boateng, said the appointed officers are expected to discharge their duties as stipulated in their appointment letters.
It added that the appointments were in accordance with Article 9(8) of the party’s constitution adding the new officers would be required to complement the work of the elected executives, and contribute to the party’s activities and programmes for the next four years.
The new officers have been charged to work hard to help the party secure more votes in the 2024 general elections.
