Nana Odeneho Shie Boffour II, the chief of Brodi in the Tain District of the Bono region, is spearheading a number of development initiatives in the area.
To this end, he has organised a community durbar to raise funds toward the establishment of a senior high school in the town, and also to provide some basic infrastructures for the people.
Addressing the citizens of the town at the fund-raising durbar, Nana Odeneho Shie Boffour II said education is the best legacy parents could bequeath their children, adding that it is a catalyst for development in every community.
“I am optimistic that when the school is fully operational, it would provide the necessary incentive for children in Brodi to attend senior high school and acquire knowledge and skills capable of helping them to contribute to the socio-economic and development of the communities around and the District”, he stated.
He commended the sub-chiefs and people of Brodi, the MP, DCE and other stakeholders for their support, and urged them to maintain the spirit of unity.
The Member of Parliament for Tain, Sulemana Adama, urged his constituents to continue to seek progress for the town, and assured of his support to make significant contributions toward the efforts to develop the town and its surrounding communities.
He supported the project with GH₵6,000.00.
