Inspired Alswel Foundation (IAF), a non-governmental and humanitarian-based organisation, has extended a helping hand to five schools across four communities in the Assin North District of the Central Region.
The foundation’s noble gesture includes the donation of customized exercise books, school bags, and school uniforms to the underprivileged students in these communities. The communities fortunate enough to benefit from this philanthropic endeavour are Nduaso, Praso, Bereku, and Dansame.
The beneficiary schools are Assin Breku Catholic Basic, Assin Breku Methodist Basic, Assin Dansame M/A Basic A, Assin Dansame M/A Basic B, Assin Praso M/A Basic B, Assin Praso M/A Basic A, Assin Nduaso Primary and Assin Nduaso JHS.
In an interview with the Daily Statesman after the ceremony, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Alswel Annan, said the gesture was anchored on his love for community and his desire to see the people of Assin North thrive in education. According to him, the gesture is to inspire the children for a better future.
Commitment
He, therefore, expressed his organization’s commitment to empowering the youth through education, saying; he believes that every child deserves access to quality education, and his outfit is committed to making that a reality for these communities.
Alswel Annan also stressed that education is the foundation for a brighter future, and he is honored to play a part in building that future.
He said although the government was doing its best to provide them with their needs, there was still the need for the public, as well as corporate organisations, to also assist such deprived and vulnerable institutions.
“Little drop of water makes a mighty ocean. I encourage all of us to contribute our widow’s might to support our vulnerable children to enable them realise and fulfil their dreams,” he said.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the various institutions are thankful to Mr. Alswel Annan for his contribution towards the schools and prayed for God’s guidance and protection for him.
