The governing New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate for the Adentan constituency, Akosua Asaa Manu, has donated 10 motorbikes to the Adentan Divisional Police Command to enhance their security operations in the area.
During the donation exercise, the parliamentary candidate, affectionately known as ‘Kozie,’ stated that the presentation of the motorcycles symbolised her commitment and that of the NPP government to equipping the Police Service with essential logistics.
She noted that this effort aimed to support the Police Command in fulfilling its mandate of maintaining law and order, as well as safeguarding lives and property.
She noted that the motorbikes would provide the police with easy mobility, and allow them to respond more quickly to incidents of crime, particularly in areas with poor road network.
The Adentan District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Richard Boateng, expressed gratitude to Akosua Asaa Manu for her initiative.
He indicated that the motorbikes would be instrumental in the police efforts at combating crime and maintaining law and order.
“With these new resources, the police service will be better equipped to patrol neighborhoods; respond to emergencies swiftly, and increase our presence in crime-prone areas”, he stated.
