Dr. Maxwell Ampong, CEO of Maxwell Investments Group (MIG), has commended teachers for their significant contributions to society during the Outstanding Teachers Summit.
In an interview at the summit held at Accra College of Education on June 12, 2024, Dr stressed the importance of supporting teachers through workshops to enhance their effectiveness.
He emphasised that teachers are fundamental in integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) into the Ghanaian curriculum, underscoring their role as the cornerstone of societal development.
He noted that teachers are crucial in laying the groundwork for future innovators and leaders.
Dr. Ampong stressed the pivotal role of STEM education in infrastructure development and economic progress. He advocated for increased resources and training for teachers to equip them better for this critical task.

The summit, organized by the 2022 Ghana Most Outstanding Teacher Stella Gyimah Larbi under the theme “Opening Doors of Possibility,” brought together industry experts and academia to facilitate networking and idea-sharing among educators. The event provided a platform for discussing innovative teaching strategies and the latest advancements in educational practices.

For her part, Stella Gyimah Larbi utilized the platform to champion the continuous professional development of teachers and learners. She urged educators to adapt to the evolving educational landscape to better serve the needs of students and foster innovation in teaching practices.
She added that it was important for educators remain at the forefront of educational transformation, equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to inspire and educate the next generation.
