The Rebecca Foundation, through the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, has donated twenty electronic and orthopaedic hospital beds to the Suntreso Government Hospital in Kumasi.
The electronic rechargeable beds with mattresses are useful in emergency cases due to their easy operation and adjustments.
The Rebecca Foundation, noted for its charity works, also presented 40 electronic beds to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital last two weeks.
Similar gesture was done at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Hospital and the Kumasi South Hospital.

Appreciation

According to him, “as for the First Lady, her name brings goodies that seek for the well-being of all and I believe this is not going to be the last. We appreciate her good work to mother Ghana”.
On the part of the Suntreso Government Hospital Administrator, Alex Abugri, he said the arrival of the equipment is timely since they have come at a time the Covid-19 pandemic cases are increasing and there is therefore the need for more beds to be able to admit and care for patients in critical conditions.
Mr Abugri also took the opportunity to appeal to the Rebecca Foundation to provide the facility with a digital x-ray and scan machines to help them deal with critical conditions.
He added that “we’ve heard the good deeds of Mrs Akufo-Addo and we were patiently waiting for the kind gesture to reach us, and here we are today. We are very grateful and we are assuring you that we will put them to use and maintain them as well”.
