The Sanjeev Mansotra Foundation (SMF) has deepened its support for young Africans’ access to higher education, funding 10 new scholarships under its partnership with Drive to Inspire – Africa LBG (DTI-A). The awards were presented at a scholarship award ceremony held in Accra on 30th October 2026.
This cohort is the first in the DTI-A scholarship programme to include male beneficiaries.
Founder of Sanjeev Mansotra Foundation (SMF) and Chairman of Planet One Group, Mr. Sanjeev Mansotra, expressed the importance of investing in the education of young people.
“Every capable child, regardless of circumstance, can pursue their ambitions and return value to the community. The scholars of today will be the innovators, educators and leaders who build the Ghana of tomorrow.” he stated
Representing SMF, Group Company Secretary & Head of Corporate Affairs for the Sanjeev Mansotra Foundation, Mr. Ganesh Umashankar said this reflects the Foundation’s belief that no one should be left behind in the pursuit of education. He explained that in its drive to support both young men and young women, SMF looked for the right organisation to partner with and found DTI-A to be a good fit. He urged the beneficiaries to learn and, in turn, make an impact in their communities.
This cohort of beneficiaries adds to an initial 10 scholars awarded in April 2026, bringing the total number of scholarships awarded under the partnership between DTI-A and SMF to twenty.
DTI-A’s Founder, Nana Adjoa Hackman, credited partners like Sanjeev Mansotra Foundation for helping the scholarship programme grow from 17 scholars at its inception to 70 today.
One of the beneficiaries, Rosemary Ofori, a University of Ghana student studying Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Geography and French, thanked SMF and DTI-A for their support and pledged to make the most of the opportunity.
The partnership also opens a pathway for DTI-A scholars to study at the University of Stirling, UK (Ras Al Khaimah Campus), subject to meeting the university’s entry requirements and gaining admission.
