
The donation at Bogoso Gov’t hospital

An aspiring parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency of the Western Region, Theophilus Tawiah, has embarked on a significant philanthropic endeavor aimed at bolstering healthcare in the area.
The private legal practitioner has recently demonstrated his commitment to improving the healthcare infrastructure in his area by making substantial donations of items worth GH₵30,000 each to Prestea and Bogoso Government hospitals, leaving a resounding impact on local healthcare services.
The two hospitals each received 50 boxes of Santex medicated body wash, 25 boxes of Cappuccino Tea drink, and 25 boxes of Sedaap Supreme Instant noodles, among others. Present during a brief donation ceremony at Prestea Government Hospital were the matron, Mrs. Gilbertson Otoo; the administrator, Mr. Nureeden Jamio; nurses and other staff.
Commitment
Speaking at a short ceremony, the aspiring parliamentary candidate expressed his deep commitment to the constituents of Prestea Huni-Valley, emphasising that the donations symbolize his resolute determination to ensure that every member of the community has access to quality healthcare.
He believes that a healthy constituency is the bedrock of progress and development, and vowed to champion this cause tirelessly.
Mr Tawiah also stressed that these resources would be used to bolster local healthcare facilities, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to provide top-notch care to the residents.
He acknowledged the challenges that the healthcare system in Prestea Huni-Valley faces, promising to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders to address these issues comprehensively.
He also pledged to explore opportunities for partnerships and investment to further enhance the healthcare sector in the constituency. The parliamentary candidate aspirant further reiterated his unwavering belief that by investing in healthcare, Prestea Huni-Valley can pave the way for progress and prosperity.

Appreciation
At Prestea, Mrs. Gilbertson Otoo, the matron of the hospital, who spoke on behalf of the management, expressed her appreciation to Mr Tawiah for the kind gesture and requested further support from him.
At Bogoso Government Hospital, the donation was received by Madam Felicity Korankye, the administrator, on behalf of the management of the hospital. Also present were nurses and other administrative staff.
Ms Korankye expressed appreciation to Mr Tawiah for the kind gesture, describing it as one of a kind.
