Prophet Albert Asihene -Arjarquah

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) Alumni Association has honoured Prophet Albert Asihene-Arjarquah, head pastor of the Omega House Chapel Assemblies of God in Koforidua, with ‘Religious Personality’ award.
He was selected from a pool of 60 distinguished alumni, both within Ghana and abroad, who had excelled in their respective fields and upheld the reputation of UCC on a global scale.
This recognition is a part of the University’s ongoing 60th anniversary celebrations. Notable awardees include Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, former Vice Chancellor of the University and the 2020 running mate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). The awards span various categories, including academia, politics, business, religion, and more.
Upon receiving the award, Prophet Arjarquah expressed his gratitude to the UCC Alumni Association for the honour, and acknowledged the role the university played in shaping his life and values.
Prophet Arjarquah used the platform to deliver an impassioned call to action to his fellow alumni to leverage their positions and abilities to make a positive impact in their respective fields.
Stand out
He emphasised the importance of standing out and leaving a legacy that would benefit future generations. He also called for sustained unity and networking among UCC alumni members to strengthen the association to leverage the power of unity in helping transform society.
He assured the University of using his ministry to embark on philanthropic interventions with special focus on prisons as well as educational support for brilliant but needy students.
Prophet Albert Asihene-Arjarquah pursued Chemistry at UCC and completed in 2005. He, however, responded to the divine calling by going into full time ministry. Prophet Arjarquah has since been ministering prophetically in Ghana and abroad.
His ministry, the Prophet Albert Asihene -Arjarquah Ministries (PAAAM), continues to push the frontiers of accurate prophecies and redemption alongside the salvation of Christ.
Rationale
The National President of the UCC Alumni Association, Samuel Danso Akoto, emphasised that the decision to honour prominent UCC alumni during the 60th anniversary celebration was motivated by a desire to recognize individuals who have made remarkable contributions to society in diverse fields.
Mr Akoto explained, “We decided to award prominent people who have gone through the University of Cape Coast and are doing marvelous things in different fields. So, we awarded people in academia, politics, business, religion, and that is the category that Prophet Albert Asihene-Arjarquah falls under”.
